Pushing Up for Better Mental Health

Pushing Up for Better Mental Health

The Burke Marine crew have long been champions for better mental health, and this June we're taking on a new challenge.

The Push-Up Challenge - running from June 1-23, is all about getting fit, having fun and learning more about mental health.

The challenge is for every crew member to complete 3,144 push ups in 23 days. Why 3,144? Sadly, this is the number of Australians who lost their lives to suicide in 2021.

As well as taking up the Challenge, the Burke crew are raising funds to support Lifeline Northern Beaches. For sixty years, Lifeline has been connecting with Australians in need through crisis support and suicide prevention services.

Every 30 seconds, a person in Australia reaches out to Lifeline for help.

"There's a few nervous people around the office" says Burke's Ryan O'Donnell.

"But we're all looking forward to the Challenge to see how we shape up. Some are more confident than others, haha".

You can help support the Burke crew and Lifeline by making a donation below. Or better yet, take up the challenge and join our crew!
